The DOD Aknowledges Autism as a Vaccine Injury

Please read David Kirby's article on the DOD documents that recognize autism as an adverse reaction to the DTaP vaccine, and that thimerosal toxicity, which may also cause autism, be treated with methyl B12 and chelation. In fact DOD is paying for chelation and DAN! doctors for military dependents.

And this stuff is still considered "controversial"???

Additionally, the DOD urges caution in giving multiple vaccines and in not continuing to vaccinate those who have shown previous vaccine reactions.

I am looking forward to the discussion that follows and from hearing from DOD doctors on why they have put out these statements.

But I suspect that it is because, unlike civilian medical authorities and private practices, the military cannot jettison their vaccine injured personnel and dependents. They will have to care for these people, sometimes for the rest of their lives.

So unlike Medicine/Pharma/Federal Government, vaccine injury effects the DOD bottom line, and their actual reason for existing... military readiness.

The Pentagon - A Voice of Reason on Vaccines and Autism?

UPDATE:  DOD yanks up the welcome mat and puts out a "gone fishin" sign.  Anderson Cooper ditches the story, then unditches it.  Army dad says high ranking military officials believe vaccines cause autism.

Several military autism families are digging into this and I would encourage those who are interested in the DOD story to keep an eye on Autism Salutes.

Keep in mind, the Navy was the first organization to implement chelation.  In the 1950's they began giving EDTA to those with lead poisoning from paint on ships.

I was in tears when I read this. I had sluffed off the idea of vaccines causing Isaiah's autism because we know Isaiah has had autism since he was an infant...we don't know why we don't know how but we know he has it...some parents their children were fine then they got the MMR shot and bam they were gone, that wasn't the case w/ Isaiah, we've never had him...since he was a baby he's shown signs of autism. But now to know that a shot he recieved as a very young baby, is known to cause autism is breaking my heart. To think he could have been, should have been, normal, how different our lives could be...should be, I don't know if I should be pissed, sad, or happy, I'm a mixture of emotions right now.

But you won't let your heart break because your son needs you.

Here's an email invitation and opportunity to organize. This isn't just an issue for parents of children with autism.

Obama To Reveal Groups He Meets With

December 5, 2008 4:40pm
Barack Obama will publicize the names and agenda items of the groups that are meeting with its transition team, the campaign announced on Friday. Moreover, the public will be allowed to review and discuss the information on Obama's website, Change.gov.

The move, announced by transition head John Podesta, is another tip of the hat towards a more transparent governing process. The campaign's Director of Public Liaison and Intergovernmental Affairs, Michael Strautmanis, will do the posting, which will note not just the organizations that are meeting with the president-elect and his staff, but also the documents (policy "wish lists") they bring with them.

"Every day, we meet with organizations who present ideas for the Transition and the Administration, both orally and in writing," reads a memo from Podesta to the Obama staff. "We want to ensure that we give the American people a 'seat at the table' and that we receive the benefit of their feedback."

Strautmanis discusses the move in the video below: (please see original link)

It is a bold move on Obama's part. Down the road, when his proposals are turned into actual policy, it will be easy to see which groups won out and which ones lost in the process. That transparency could lead to accusations of favoritism and quid-pro-quos as well as hurt feelings among certain industries that felt they were stepped over or ignored.

For good-government folks, meanwhile, this is potentially a very big deal. Obama is opening up his governing process to the public, which, for politicians, is hardly convenient. He is encouraging, in a way, a public competition between organizations to see who can produce the sharpest policy takes. And inevitably, he will be challenged to defend his work based on its merits, as observers will get an even keener sense of what kind of policy choices he had at hand.

These non-government groups, think tanks, unions and associations will likely welcome the new process, as it will provide them with greater public exposure than they enjoy simply by submitting a white paper to team Obama. And reporters -- searching for some copy in this transition period -- will welcome the move, as it provides policy-related material on which they can base stories.

The list will be made public moving forward on Obama's change.gov website.

It's dishonest to just leave this post as is. You could edit it to include Kirby's update. Sure, you lose your whole argument, but you never had one to begin with.

When honest research is stifled by business interests, the phrase "currently there is no data or science to support such a claim" is morally and scientificlly bankrupt legalese.

As an indisputable example, may I refer you to the following (Research stopped, scientists gagged).

This is unacceptable.

Alyric,

So that means that you find all my other posts honest and sound? Yes?

You vastly overestimate my ability to blog consistently.

Updates on current post and I will add to this later when I have more time as the story settles out... I don't know that it is done bouncing around.
